Joy's Weekend

So, the queen (or so she thinks) had a pretty busy weekend. Saturday was Kevin's birthday. He wanted to take Joy to the Morton Arboreutum. That's probably spelled wrong, but I'm far too lazy to go look it up. Anyways......we went. It was nice. It reminded me, once again, that I should be living in the country. Sigh........Joy seemed to enjoy it, too. Kevin was very happy. Which was the point. We came home and had ice cream cake and presents. Joy is very fond of ice cream cake. Surprise!

On Sunday, we took Joy to my parents' farm. She hadn't been there, yet. In fact, this was the first time my family has seen her since we came home. We needed a little "home time" before we started taking trips out. She did fine. In fact, she had a great time playing with her cousins. And Grandma and Grandpa scored points with snacks. She can totally be purchased with food. She did have a little meltdown in the car on the way home. But, as soon as she saw we were home, she was very happy. It's very important to come home. I think short visits are best, for now. Annoying, but best for her. We need to come home. She does like to go places, though. She is a social butterfly! Here's some pictures from the weekend. Note, she is eating her cake in the nude. She isn't exactly Miss Neat!
