The Guangzhou Zoo and more shopping!

This morning we went to the zoo. It was very hot/humid, but we had to go. They had a panda! It was a beautiful zoo. Full of palm trees, bamboo and flowers. We made it a quick trip thru, though. The babies were hot and hungry. We were, too. They had a show going on, too. The men were blowing fire out of their mouths and the women were dancing.
This evening, I went to a traditional Chinese market and then to a modern mall. In the market they had all sorts of things for sale. Turtles, snakes, squirrels, dried lizzards, dried sea horses, cats, dogs, etc. We were relieved to see leashes and dog/cat food being sold with the animals. In the modern mall, they had all the usual stuff. This mall was 6 stories high, and several buildings. You'd need days to see it all. Zhou took us to a pearl store. They had great deals, and I got some goodies!
It was a fun day. Tomorrow, I pick up some things I ordered, pack, go to the Consulant in the afternoon and more packing. We leave here Wednesday morning @ 5 a.m. I will post the details tomorrow, when I get a moment. Enjoy the pictures!
