Can you believe it? It has been 2 years since Kevin met Julia in China! 2 years! She has grown by leaps and bounds in every possible way! She is now 4'2" tall and weighs in at 56 lbs. She has grown so fast that her hamstrings have yet to catch up! She has developed muscles no one thought were working. She has only fallen on the ice once this year. Last year it was a guarantee she'd need help. Recently, she has started carrying her own backpack into school. Last year she had to be helped in and out of the car and she couldn't carry her bag because it threw her balance off. She can hop on one foot and balance on the balance disk too. Roller skating was an even bigger success this year because she can stay upright on her own! She is still big into games and her tablet is her best friend! And......one of her favorite dance moves is wiggling her butt. When she came home she couldn't move her hips at all......so this is big!
We are celebrating her big day tomorrow because today we are headed into Chicago to meet with the Neurosurgeon and the Urologist. All the pre-surgical tests have been done and we have bloodwork and a physical yet to complete. Busy, busy! Next up......surgery! March 18th is the big day so keep herself in your prayers! Joy, too.....she is very concerned about her best sister!
