Food.......blessed food!

One of the first things Julia always asks for when she wakes up from anesthesia is food.  The girl is always hungry.  Well, the nurses would not let her eat until her tummy actually growled.  She got some ice chips but they did nothing.  Finally there was a tiny rumble and we were allowed to order dinner.  She got noodles, ice cream, yogurt, a banana, grapes, soup, juice.......the list goes on!   Food takes about 45 minutes to arrive.  Every 30 seconds or so she would beg for her dinner.  Finally it arrived!  She was starving!  She ate it all.......and my salad.............the neurosurgeon stopped by and she got her to get her more ice cream.............sigh............
