Doing well!

The queen bee continues to do well!  She is still being kept on her sides and gets rotated every 2 hours.  She is off Morphine and just on Tylenol.  They tried alternating with Motrin this a.m. but she's a Tylenol girl........Ibuprofen doesn't work at all and, right now, it needs to work!  There were tears.  She also had a headache for quite awhile, but that has subsided as well.  She has had many (I mean many) towel baths today.  Things are ahem.......moving along.......good news, but eeewww!  The catheter came out today and the IV fluids were stopped.  She is eating like a champ!  More good news.......her right foot is sweating!  That foot has always been cold and it never sweats.  So something's working over there!  Also, she can straighten out her knees!  She had bad contractures in both knees and the de-tether was the first step before having her hamstrings lengthened so she could straighten her knees.  And they sure look straight now!  In fact last night she said her legs felt weird because she can feel the bed against her knees.  She has never been able to straighten them enough to rest them on the bed.  So.....yippeeeee!  You all know I want to avoid that hamstring surgery and the 6 weeks in casts.  That would be no fun!

Tonight she is finally asleep.  The pain came back 2 hours before her Tylenol was due and hit a 10 out of 10 in about 15 minutes.  So back to the Morphine.  That and some Melatonin and she is out.  And I will be soon!  Good night!!!!!!!!!!!
