Today, we've had Joy for 2 months. My, has she changed! No longer a thin, scared little girl. But, a rather round, determined little dynamo! She laughs, plays jokes, stacks blocks, talks on the phone and loves her meows. We still battle sleeping (she was up til 11 p.m. last night), but she no longer wakes up in tears. She is amazing! She's dives headfirst (Yeah, she really does) into everything she does. She will work at it until she's conquered whatever it is. Currently, it's swings. She's afraid of them, but this week she sat in them twice, had a short swing both times, and then pushed the empty swing. She's determined to win that battle. And she will. She also conquered the bath tub. She wasn't afraid of it, but she's been working on laying down, with her head in the water. Let me tell you, she's ready for swim lessons. I'm thinking this winter. And, you know what else???? The girls smiles! Remember her referral picture? Everyone said they couldn't wait for the smile. Well....she can! In fact....belly laughs come from her, too!
