Yesterday Joy received the sacrament of Baptism. We were very blessed to share the day with our closest friends and our amazing families. Kevin's brother is a Catholic Priest, and Baptized Joy. How special is it to have your brother Baptize your child? Joy did very well with the whole water over the head part. In fact, she really would have liked to crawl into the Baptismal font! She was not too pleased to wear the family Baptismal gown, however. It's long and she wasn't able to walk in it. So, she had to be held. She's a woman on the move, so this didn't go over too well. But, she did fine. During Mass, she had to leave because she saw Uncle Kurt up there on the Altar, and wanted to go visit. Not good. So, out she went w/ Daddy. The dinner was at our home, and we had a very nice time. Joy received wonderful gifts. One was a lovely Cresch, made in China and brought here in the 1960's. It is made from bamboo and is incredible. It is a family item, given to Joy by some wonderful friends. I'll have to post a photo of it when we set it up for Christmas. It is truely beautiful. I, as usual, was a teary mess. Sigh......I'm such a sap......Sssshhhhh.....don't tell anyone!
