You know how it is when you work all week long and then you have a ton of stuff you want to squeeze into your measly 2 day weekend. It always goes so fast and you rarely get half of what you wanted to get done, done. Well, this weekend we get a bonus! 3 days!!! And have we packed it full of stuff! On Saturday, my brother in law (from now on known as a saint) came and took a deepfreeze out of our basement. This thing was made in 1945 or something. It was huge. It was rusty. It was smelly. It was filthy. But, the saint, got that thing out! I'll put up pictures in another post. But, back to the weekend! After the saint went home to see his family, we went out to the park and went fishing. Kevin caught a little one and let Joy reel it in. She, of course, was thrilled. Today we went to Mass and then out to White Pines state park and then over to Lowden state park. We saw Blackhawk and hiked down the stairs to the river and back up. Then we headed home, had a fire in the pit and roasted hotdogs and smores. I am feeling fallish. How about you?
