March 14th

March 14th has been a special day in my family for 11 years. It's Hannah's birthday! It has also been a special day in Kevin's family for 10 years. It's Tim's birthday! And then March 14th became our log-in date. When you send your paperwork to China, they assign you a date-your log-in date. That date becomes very important to you. It's how you can see where you are in line. And it's a very long line! The closer you get to your date, the more the excitement builds. But, most of the time, it's a hard date to see pass by. Every year, we'd feel sad to see another year go by with no little girl in our house. We waited over 3 years. But this year, March 14th is just another date on our journey. It WAS our log-in date. It doesn't really matter anymore. It's been replaced by more important dates: Joy's birthday-1/22/08, Referral day-5/21/09 and the day we became a family-7/6/09. So, this year, we will celebrate 2 special birthdays and smile when we think about our log-in date. And then we'll get back to chasing Joy and whatever she's gotten into now!
