You know how it is......The snow starts to get a little slushy. The wool blankie on your bed seems too warm. You are sick to death of wearing your boots, so you venture out in shoes. And it's okay. You hear what could be birds. And they seem happy. There's a different smell to the air. Spring? Or manure? And then, there he is.....the Red-winged blackbird. Sitting atop a fence post or bush along side the road. He's beautiful! He's singing! It is spring! The Red-winged blackbird is never wrong! Our little family spotted them on Saturday, when we went to the park to look for spring. We found it!
