Especially Joy! On Monday we headed to Naperville for their Memorial Day Parade. Joy was very excited to see our friends' sons marching and had high hopes for loads of candy! This year we scored a shady spot under a tree and there was a nice breeze. Both of which were very important seeing as it was 93 degrees. Down from Saturday and Sunday's 98 degrees. Never fear...we cooled down....it was 49 yesterday! Back to the parade. Parades choke me up. All those soldiers in their uniforms and all those Gold Star families...... Gold Star families are families who have lost a member during the Iraq war. They give up so much for all of us. They fight to keep our freedoms. And, when you have a child, who now shares all these freedoms, who came from a situation where she had none....well......it gets to ya. Well, me, anyway......sniffle....so, here's some photos of the great parade! My favorite is the last one! All that parading wears a girl out!
