Under the Big Top!

The circus has come to town! Well, not our town, but close. I thought Joy might like it, so I got tickets. She loved it! They had a petting zoo and our little genius figured out that the kids who were paying to get food for the goats were dropping it on the ground. So, she starting picking it up and feeding her new friends. It was a proud moment for me! Way to have fun for free, my dear! There were elephant rides, camel rides and many nice animals to pet and feed. And then came the Big Top. It was HOT! Occasionally a breeze would give us a break. But, basically we were damp! But Joy, the trooper that she is, danced on. She loved the music and the clapping. At first, she was glued, and then she was more interested in the kids around us. But, she had a good time. The show was 2 hours with an intermission, but she did pretty well. She wanted to stay for the whole thing! She doesn't like to miss anything. There were acrobats, dancing dogs, a contortionist, elephants, ponies, clowns, highwire acts, etc. We definitely enjoyed it and Joy did, too. Which was the point. Mission accomplished!
