And so summer ends.....

No!!!!!!!!!  Say it isn't so!!!!!!!  But it is......the school supplies have been dropped off and stowed away in their desks.....new teachers have been met......lockers have been found.......showers have been taken......lunches are ready.....breakfast has been decided on and the dresses are ironed and ready for the big day.  And it's tomorrow!  Joy is very excited although she has been very emotional today.  Julia is sad to be leaving her 2nd grade teacher.....even though her 3rd grade teacher is her best friend's mommy and her beloved Mrs. M will be coming with her.  We went to school yesterday to drop off the supplies and the girls both met lots of friends and there were squeals of happiness in the hallways.  So much to tell each other!  Joy's best friend just lost another tooth and Joy lost one last week so they had fun comparing smiles.  Julia was thrilled to see the principal, whom she calls "chocolate".....no one's sure why.......but she seems to like it so.......another summer gone and another school year just beginning.......sigh.......and my little Joy is a 1st grader.......and Julia a 3rd grader......tell me again how this happens............check back tomorrow for first day pictures!
