Today is a big day! It is the start of Chinese New Year (it's the year of the Tiger) and Valentine's Day. We celebrated both by having dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant last night. They have the yummiest Shumai! Joy wore her faux silk dress from China and the waitresses all made a big fuss over her! She is adorable! Daddy gave her a special Valentine's gift and I made heart-shaped brownies for dessert. Today, we are going to the Shedd Aquarium to see the fish. Joy loves "fishies". She has a new red sweater to wear, which is nice because it is customary to wear new clothes for the New Year and red is believed to chase away evil spirits. And...it has hearts on it- so good for Valentine's Day, too! I'm always thinkin'!!!! So, Happy New Year and Happy Valentine's Day!
