Since Kevin has a long weekend, we decided to meet up with his parents in Madison yesterday. They have a very nice zoo and a great farmer's market. A nice thing to do in the fall, right? Wrong. Not that it didn't turn out to be very nice, but at first it was......hmmmmm..........bitter. We arrived @ 10:30 a.m., parked and got out of the car. It was 37 degrees. Then the wind started. Then it snowed. It's October for goodness sakes! Joy was bundled up like a taco. Only her little face looked out. Did she like her first snow? I don't think so. She kept swatting at it with her little, mittened hands. She looked annoyed. We hurried over to the Children's Museum and took shelter. Once Kevin's parents arrived, we went to lunch, back to the museum and then on to the zoo. By then, it was a bit warmer, no wind and sunny. Joy really liked the zoo. She was much more into the animals this time. As for the farmer's market....maybe in the spring!
