One month post surgery

As of Saturday it has been 1 month since Julia's surgery! Went fast didn't it?  We have been very busy since then. There has been the spring concert, Easter, soccer and a birthday......which we all know involves at least 3 parties!  Julia is still on restrictions as far as what she is allowed to do but we are managing nicely with a minimum of whining from herself!  She went back to school exactly 2 weeks after her surgery and her Dr. said she is doing amazingly well.  It took her awhile to regain her strength but she is motoring along quite well.  In fact she went from riding in the wheelchair at school to pushing it around within a week or so.  It does drive her batty that she's unable to play on the playground at school, but she is dealing with that one alright.  We are going on lots of walks to keep her strength up and work on balance.  I checked with the Dr........it's okay!  Enjoy the pictures of Julia's first month after surgery!  Oh!!!!  And one other thing!  Julia read a petition at Mass the other day!  She was very nervous and the words were pretty tough.....but she practiced a ton and did beautifully!  Super brave girl!
