Picking pumpkins

When winter finally decided to hit the road back in June, Kevin found he had a new hobby.  A garden.  He decided to dig up my mom's old garden and plant stuff.  There was zucchini, cucumbers and a mixture of squash, gourds and pumpkins.  Every weekend he couldn't wait to get out there and check on the garden.  He weeded and searched out the biggest zucchinis he could.  The excitement grew as the pumpkins started to make their appearance.  We thought it might be fun to have the cousins come and have a pumpkin picking party.  So......on the last warm and sunny Saturday we got together and went hunting for pumpkins!  The kids had a blast and it was fun to watch them all working together and helping each other climb over the vines.  Even Julia got in on the climbing and picking.  She was very proud of her find......a Turbin squash!  Joy found herself a ride on Hannah's shoulders and had a great time directing her to the choicest pumpkins!
