Today marks 5 years since we met Joy in China! Can you believe it? For five years we have gotten to wipe her tears, laugh at her crazy antics, kiss her owies and watch her grow. She has gone from a terrified toddler to a very put together little lady. She is smart, she is funny, she will tell you what she thinks of you....which is generally not a good thing.......we try not to laugh....she will give you the shirt off her back if she thinks it will help you....she will share anything she has very willingly and she is the best helper ever! She loves to help cook or bake.....especially bake......I blame her for my roundness! She gives the best hugs and her back rubs are awesome!
Today we celebrated with Chinese food for lunch and a gigantic chocolate chip cookie for dessert. And don't forget presents!!!!!! Dinner was at a picnic and they announced that today was her family day and everyone clapped, which made her super happy. And, even better, she got to go swimming!!!!! All in all a very good day!
